We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as a Nurse Care Coordinator. This is a full-time position located in Washington DC.

About the Role:

This role is responsible for supporting patient care and clinical operations for Surgery, including subspecialties. The successful candidate will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support patient care and clinical operations for Surgery, including subspecialties
  • Implement pre-visit planning protocols for Surgery and Surgery Subspecialties clinics
  • Triage referrals and obtain pre-authorizations
  • Provide pre-op patient education and work with patients post-discharge to schedule follow-up appointments
  • Process and manage prescription refills
Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you must have a Bachelor's degree in Nursing and at least 3 years of experience in an ambulatory setting, preferably in a surgical environment. You should also have experience providing patient education and obtaining pre-authorizations. Strong documentation skills and the ability to work independently are essential.
