Job Responsibilities:
The Department of Modern Languages is seeking qualified candidates for part-time, non-benefited teaching positions. Responsibilities include:
1. Conducting all assigned classes in a well-prepared and timely manner.
2. Providing thorough and constructive feedback on assignments.
3. Returning graded work promptly and maintaining accurate records.
4. Offering guidance and support to students.
5. Holding regular office hours for student consultations.
6. Administering midterm evaluations to assess course effectiveness.
Compensation and Benefits:
The established salary range for this position is $1,496 per credit hour for lower division courses and $1,645 per credit hour for upper division courses. The final salary will be determined based on various factors, including experience and qualifications.

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Graduate level or terminal degree in Chinese, French, or other modern languages, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in higher education teaching related to the assignment. Strong verbal and written communication skills in English; proficiency in Chinese and/or French is a plus. Ability to work effectively in both online and hybrid environments, and to foster inclusive relationships within the institution.
Conditions of Employment:
This position follows a hybrid work model, allowing for remote work based on task requirements and personal preferences. Collaboration is encouraged when tasks necessitate in-person interaction.
