Key Responsibilities:

  • CNC Programming and Control: Ensure that CNC programming and control processes are optimized to meet production demands and maintain high-quality standards.
  • Tool Maintenance and Recycle: Develop and implement a tool maintenance and recycle program to minimize waste and maximize tool lifespan.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance tool design, CNC programming, and tooling management.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and motivate a team of tooling professionals to achieve business objectives and promote a culture of collaboration and innovation.
  • Vendor Management: Interface with vendors and suppliers to select and procure tools and materials that meet Piper Aircraft's quality and cost standards.
  • Reporting and Communication: Provide regular reports and updates to management on tooling program progress, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.


Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in mechanical, industrial, or manufacturing engineering.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in tooling, tool design, and CNC programming, with at least 5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Skills: Extensive knowledge of computers and software, including Microsoft Office, and a firm understanding of configuration management and control of tooling and related data.
  • Language Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
