Position Overview:
Join Eversource Energy as a key contributor in the engineering team, focusing on the design, construction, and operational excellence of liquefied natural gas (LNG) and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) facilities. This role involves collaboration with team members to ensure adherence to engineering standards and practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design systems and installations that align with project objectives while adhering to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Engage in the development of plant systems, including gas pretreatment, liquefaction processes, cryogenic storage, and control systems.
  • Conduct site layouts and prepare essential documentation for procurement and construction phases.
  • Specify and procure necessary materials and equipment, coordinating both in-house and contracted labor efforts.
  • Facilitate project bidding processes, including scheduling and conducting bid meetings, evaluating proposals, and awarding contracts.
  • Establish and maintain field procedures to ensure compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.
  • Coordinate construction activities with various stakeholders, including customers, contractors, and internal departments.
  • Oversee construction activities to ensure compliance with specifications and codes, while coordinating with Plant Operations.
  • Review purchase requisitions and invoices related to departmental activities.
  • Support restoration efforts for facilities and gas distribution systems during emergency situations.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proficient understanding of fundamental engineering principles, plant construction, and maintenance practices.
  • Ability to interpret Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) and schematic drawings.
  • Understanding of thermodynamic and cryogenic principles as they pertain to LNG and LPG.
  • Familiarity with relevant governmental codes and regulations.
  • Knowledge of environmental regulations impacting engineering activities.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications.
Educational Background:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
Experience Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in the field.
