Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Vehicle Test Driver to join our team at Technical Professionals Group. As a Heavy Vehicle Test Driver, you will be responsible for operating a variety of heavy vehicles and trucks for testing and validation purposes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive Heavy Vehicles: Operate heavy vehicles and trucks following specific protocols to gather accurate data for analysis.
  • Document Performance: Document performance, feedback, and metrics while driving designated routes.
  • Flexibility: Work either the 1st or 2nd shift (overnights) depending on testing needs.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or GED required.
  • CDL Class A: Possession of a CDL Class A license is required.
  • Driving Experience: Minimum of 3 years of driving experience operating Class 6 and Class 8 heavy vehicles with manual transmissions.
  • Travel: Ability to travel, as needed, to specific states for specialized tests or vehicle transportation.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow strict protocols to ensure accurate testing results.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Local Candidate: Preference will be given to local Fairbanks candidates who can demonstrate they understand the unique safety challenges posed by the weather and operating conditions in Fairbanks during winter.
  • Passport: Possession of a valid passport is highly desired.
Important Considerations
  • Safety Sensitive Position: This is a safety-sensitive position requiring all persons assigned to be drug-free and pass DOT drug screening prior to employment.
  • Prolonged Sitting: Prolonged routine sitting for 8 or more hours with the requirement to lift at least 25 lbs.
