Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Laboratory Technician to join our team at Managed Staffing. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the transfer and scale-up of advanced materials, maintaining laboratory equipment, and performing polymer synthesis in 50L to 100L glass jacketed reactors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development and implementation of new materials and processes
  • Maintain laboratory equipment, including glassware, waste management, and solvent transfer
  • Perform polymer synthesis and documentation of experiments and scale-up work
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and improve processes
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in laboratory operations
Requirements
  • Associate degree in chemistry or related field, Bachelor degree preferred
  • Experience in lab synthesis and polymer chemistry, with a focus on glass reactors and solvent transfer
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in spreadsheets and word processing
  • Ability to work off-shift, night-shift, and rotating shifts, with a willingness to wear personal protective equipment
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a proven track record of a strong work ethic and positive attitude
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with data analysis and interpretation, with a focus on identifying problems and planning a path forward for resolution
  • Experience working in an ISO/AS9100 certified environment, with a focus on quality and process improvement
  • High school education with lab experience, or associate or bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, or related field
