Job Title: Senior Electromagnetic Scientist

Riverside Research is seeking a highly skilled Senior Electromagnetic Scientist to join our team in Dayton, OH. As a key member of our Engineering & Support Solutions Business Unit, you will play a critical role in supporting work related to electronic warfare (EW) and electronic protection (EP).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform independent verification and validation (V&V) of material solutions for electromagnetic pulse (EMP) and directed energy (DE)
  • Plan, organize, and execute in-lab and field measurements
  • Collect, analyze, and manage data, document and present results
  • Collate and process data collected from testing and customer interactions
  • Design custom test setup visualizations in SolidWorks for fabrication and implementation to meet non-standard customer requirements

Requirements:

  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI and SAP clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in physics or engineering with 8 years of experience or 6 years with MS or 3 years with PhD
  • Experience in EW and EP
  • Advanced insight into characterization techniques and materials behavior
  • Expertise in radiation transport and nuclear environments
  • Experience in measuring and modeling RF emissions and propagation
  • Familiar with network analyzer, oscilloscope, RF component and antenna operations
  • Proficient in Python, Matlab, COMSOL and SolidWorks
  • Digital signal processing (DSP) and software defined radio (SDR) experience
  • Ability to work in confined spaces
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs
  • Able to travel up to 25% of the year including weekends and domestic and internationally (valid US Passport or ability to obtain one)

Preferred Requirements:

  • Active TS/SCI
  • Experience with RF shielding materials
  • Understanding of basic radiation propagation
  • Experience with ionizing radiation

Compensation: $130,000 - $220,000
