We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse - Operating Room Circulator to join our team at Twin Cities Orthopedics. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in the operating room, working closely with our surgical team to ensure a smooth and efficient surgical experience.
Key Responsibilities- Assess patient needs and develop individualized plans of care in collaboration with the surgical team.
- Coordinate and manage surgical supplies and equipment to ensure optimal patient care.
- Provide emotional and psychological support to patients and their families during the surgical experience.
- Collaborate with anesthesia personnel to ensure safe and effective anesthesia administration.
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond to changes in their condition during surgery.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including surgical counts and medication administration.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and industry developments.
- Contribute to a positive and supportive team environment, promoting open communication and collaboration.
- Graduate of an accredited school of registered nursing.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Minnesota or Wisconsin.
- At least one year of experience in the operating room, preferably in the last five years.
- Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or completion within six months of hire.
- Membership in the Association of periOperative Registered Nurses (AORN).
- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
