Operating Room Circulator RN

The Operating Room Circulator Registered Nurse is a vital member of the surgical team, responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in the OR of the Surgery Center.
This part-time position (0.8 FTE) is based out of our Edina Specialty Surgery Center, with hours of operation from Monday to Friday, 6:00 am to 5:00 pm. No weekend, holiday, or on-call work is required.
As a Registered Nurse with Revo Health, you will work closely with Infinite Health Collaborative (i-Health) and its operating divisions to provide exceptional patient care. Key Responsibilities:
- Assess instrumentation, supply, and equipment needs based on scheduled procedures, patient needs, and physician preferences.
- Assist with picking supplies for surgical cases, as needed.
- Develop and implement individualized plans of care based on nursing assessments, medical diagnoses, and knowledge of specific illnesses, injuries, diseases, surgical procedures, and standards of care.
- Provide nursing care based on individualized plans of care, reassessing, evaluating, and revising as needed.
- Perform surgical counts and medication labeling in compliance with departmental policies and procedures.
- Administer medications and solutions as ordered, following department policies and procedures.
- Receives surgical specimens and cultures from the sterile field and handles them appropriately, in compliance with departmental and surgery center policies and procedures.
- Assist anesthesia personnel and provide psychological and physiological support for patients during induction, emergence, and as needed throughout the intraoperative phase.
- Complete correct site surgery procedures, following surgery center policies and procedures.
- Physiologically monitor patients during surgery, following surgery center departmental policies and procedures, and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition and/or behavior.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an NLN-accredited school of registered nursing.
- Current licensure as a RN in the State of MN or WI multi-state required.
- At least one year of OR experience in the last 5 years preferred.
- Current member of AORN preferred.
- Current certification in basic CPR for Healthcare Professionals (BLS) or completed upon hire.
