Overview

As the Chief Financial Officer, you will be instrumental in shaping strategic choices through accurate financial analysis and forecasting. This position involves managing monthly financial reporting and accounting activities, establishing internal financial controls, and spearheading critical strategic projects.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management:

  • Develop a bi-annual budgeting framework to support a continuous forecasting model, offering real-time insights into organizational performance.
  • Work closely with the executive team to create a data-driven strategy, implement a dashboard with real-time metrics, and utilize customer insights to derive actionable recommendations.
  • Evaluate actual performance against projections to effectively communicate any variances.
  • Foster collaborative relationships across departments to ensure alignment on resource distribution for revenue and profitability objectives.
  • Enhance monthly key performance indicators, financial reports, and presentations for stakeholders.
  • Conduct thorough monthly revenue and expense assessments to ensure precision and identify emerging trends.
  • Select and deploy appropriate financial and operational technologies.

Accounting Oversight:

  • Supervise daily accounting functions and month-end closing activities to guarantee timely financial disclosures.
  • Oversee general accounting responsibilities, including revenue recognition and management of accounts receivable/payable.
  • Implement innovative systems to improve accounting efficiency and reporting standards.
  • Collaborate with auditors to ensure successful completion of annual audits.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in startups, financial planning & analysis, or accounting.
  • Expertise in US GAAP applicable to private entities.
  • Experience in private equity or venture capital settings.
  • Strong financial modeling capabilities with a thorough understanding of business operations.
  • Familiarity with financial operations technology and transactions in private companies.

Compensation:

$175k to $220k base salary, along with bonus and equity opportunities based on experience.
