Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Maintenance Technician, you will collaborate with the Maintenance team to ensure our production machinery functions optimally. Your primary duties will include:
- Overseeing the start-up, setup, and changeover processes for all production line filling machinery.
- Expertise in diagnosing and resolving issues with packaging and labeling equipment, including unscramblers, fillers, cappers, labelers, pick and place systems, and palletizers.
- Conducting daily inspections of equipment and facility systems, diagnosing and repairing as necessary.
- Maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
- Performing general maintenance tasks such as painting, carpentry, lighting, plumbing, and snow removal.
- Adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.
- Availability to work core hours from 5:30 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with potential overtime.
- Ability to climb, balance, walk, stoop, crawl, and navigate around equipment.
- Capability to lift up to 50 lbs and move heavier items with assistance.
- Familiarity with moving mechanical components.
- Occasional exposure to elevated areas and moderate to high noise levels.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting schematics and repair manuals.
- Experience with standard tools, precision measuring devices, and electronic testing equipment.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
- Competent computer skills with a willingness to learn new systems and software.
- Experience with PLCs and Allen Bradley systems, as well as RSLogix 500 and 5000, is advantageous.
- Knowledge of 3D modeling and printing is a plus.
- Proficient in operating milling machines, lathes, and drill presses for manufacturing components is beneficial.
- Experience operating sit-down and stand-up forklifts, as well as scissor lifts.
- Self-driven and capable of working independently or collaboratively to meet deadlines.
