Salary Range

The salary range for this role is $64,000 USD - $128,000 USD per year, depending on experience.

Job Description

We are hiring Firmware Engineers to support programs for our US military and various international customers. As a Firmware Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing complex firmware solutions implemented in Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs), System on Chip (SOC), and Complex Programmable Logic Devices (CPLDs). Your tasks will include generating firmware requirements, documenting firmware architecture, designing HDL based digital circuits, building test benches, and verifying target device functionality.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in digital hardware design and verification
  • Familiarity with communication interfaces and bus standards (e.g., SPI, I2C, PCIe, UART, or Gb Ethernet)
  • Familiarity with using logic analyzers, high-speed oscilloscopes, signal generators, and/or target device debugging tools
  • A degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field or in absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
