Key Responsibilities
  • Enhance the performance of the supply chain by minimizing defects, refining processes, and ensuring projects are completed on schedule.
  • Ensure suppliers are aligned with company standards and comprehend the end-use of their products to identify value-added opportunities.
  • Conduct site audits to verify compliance with control plans and process standards, and communicate findings effectively.
  • Resolve discrepancies related to product specifications and tolerances through effective communication.
  • Participate in project meetings to clarify quality and operational requirements.
  • Oversee gage repeatability and reliability studies at supplier locations as necessary.
  • Provide technical insights for sourcing initiatives, evaluating supplier capabilities, and ensuring effective transitions of products.
  • Manage cost reduction and performance enhancement projects, collaborating closely with procurement teams.
  • Act as a liaison between company quality assurance and supplier quality assurance to ensure consistent inspection methodologies.
  • Engage in technical discussions with suppliers to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Respond promptly to quality concerns, analyze supplier data to address complex issues, and validate corrective actions through site visits.
Qualifications
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Technical proficiency, including the ability to interpret technical drawings and understand GD&T.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and capable of learning company-specific systems.
  • Project management skills, including familiarity with Gantt and PERT charts.
  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of five years of experience in supply chain or quality-related fields, with three years in the metal forming or steel sector.
  • Willingness to travel as required, potentially up to 50% for business engagements.
  • Must reside within a reasonable commuting distance from the company's facilities.
  • Must meet the definition of a U.S. Person as per ITAR/EAR regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, Logistics, or Business.
  • Experience in conflict resolution.
  • Familiarity with roll forming or welding processes.
