Overview

The Emory University Hospital Surgical Specialties Team is seeking highly skilled Anesthetists to join our integrated academic healthcare system. As a vital member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of surgical cases, including vascular procedures, surgical oncology, and neurosurgery.

Responsibilities
  • Administer general and regional anesthesia to surgical and non-surgical procedure patients under the direction of an Anesthesiologist.
  • Perform initial acute cardio-pulmonary resuscitation in life-threatening situations or as directed by a physician.
  • Interpret and record patient physiological and pharmacological status, assist the Anesthesiologist in gathering routine pre-op data.
  • Assist in research projects as carried out by an Anesthesiologist.
  • Establish multi-parameter monitoring of patient prior to, during, and after anesthesia or in other acute care situations.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) or Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant (CAA) Master's Degree program.
  • Licensed or eligible to practice in the State of Georgia.
  • Certified by National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA) or National Commission for Certification of Anesthesiologist Assistants (NCCAA).
  • Must maintain biannual certification through the submission of Continuing Medical Education credits (CMEs).
Benefits
  • Competitive salary range: $198,000 - $230,000 per year (for Full Time, 1.0FTE) based on years of experience as an Anesthetist (CRNA or CAA).
