Commodity Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Commodity Manager to join our team at 360 Headhunter. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the procurement of key commodities and/or manufacturing facilities, utilizing their experience and independent judgment to make decisions that impact the organization.

• Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet manufacturing requirements, working closely with scheduling, plant operations, sales, and engineering teams.
• Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, negotiating pricing, terms, and conditions to minimize total cost and improve quality.
• Assist management in the development and execution of the supply management process, maximizing the contributions of suppliers and supporting strategic objectives.
• Supervise a team and determine overall buying strategy for assigned manufacturing facility.
• Work collaboratively with design engineering to develop new products, reducing costs and enhancing quality.

• BS/BA degree preferred, or equivalent experience.
• Professional certification CPM/or APICS preferred.
• Minimum of 7+ years direct purchasing/buying experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Previous experience leading small teams.
• Good working knowledge of Industrial markets, manufacturing processes, and technical aspects of industrial commodities.

The successful candidate will work in a standard office environment with frequent exposure to production environments. Ability to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, reach, and work in limited space.
