Software Engineer for Classified Projects

iSphere, a leading IT consulting company, seeks a skilled Software Engineer to join our team in Tucson, AZ, for a full-time opportunity in developing cutting-edge signal processing and communications systems. You will work with top electrical engineers, mathematicians, and computer scientists in a classified environment on critical national security and defense projects.

In this role, you will develop reusable software frameworks, libraries, and toolkits to power our advanced hardware and software systems. We are looking for someone passionate about crafting performant, scalable solutions. You will employ multithreading, optimization, and modern software engineering best practices. Experience with signal processing, image analysis, GUI design, and databases is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop reusable software frameworks, libraries, and toolkits for advanced hardware and software systems
Employ multithreading, optimization, and modern software engineering best practices
Collaborate with electrical engineers, mathematicians, and computer scientists in a classified environment

Requirements:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent field
5+ years of experience in practical system development and deployment
Demonstrated mastery of C/C++ development in Linux
Experience with reusable framework design and development
Strong math and analytical skills
Experience with MIDAS (preferably X-MIDAS) framework and Python
Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance (US citizenship required)

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with geolocation and/or digital signal processing, preferably in a classified application
Experience with Java and Qt
Experience with the REDHAWK framework
Experience supporting SIGINT processing systems
