Histology Technician

Penn State Health is seeking a skilled Histology Technician to join our team in Hershey, Pennsylvania.
Job Summary:We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized individual to assist in the preparation and processing of biological samples for laboratory testing. The successful candidate will be responsible for receiving and identifying specimens, entering orders into the laboratory information system, and providing excellent customer service to patients and healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities:- Receive and identify biological specimens, ensuring accurate labeling and storage
- Enter orders for laboratory testing into the Lab Information System
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and healthcare professionals
- Prepare and process biological samples for laboratory testing
- Maintain accurate records and reports
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Additional training or equivalent knowledge in histology or a related field preferred
- 6 months of job-related experience preferred
