The PantherDining Hall is in search of a qualified Customer Service Specialist II. This role is essential in delivering exceptional service within the dining facilities at Georgia State University. The Customer Service Specialist II is responsible for providing top-notch customer service, demonstrating comprehensive product knowledge, and upholding all customer service standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Customer Service Specialist II will ensure excellent product knowledge and adherence to customer service standards. This position may require cross-training for additional roles to provide support and resources during peak times.

PRIMARY DUTIES INCLUDE:

  • Welcoming and acknowledging customers.
  • Efficiently operating POS systems and managing cash and media at registers.
  • Relaying customer inquiries to management.
  • Maintaining familiarity with menu offerings.
  • Counting and reconciling cash during shifts to ensure sufficient funds.
  • Restocking supplies and informational materials.
  • Recording patron attendance.
  • Ensuring a tidy appearance at service areas.
  • Keeping beverage stations and dining utensils well-stocked and maintained.
  • Assisting in maintaining cleanliness of tables and service areas.
  • Being attentive to customer needs.
  • Performing additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED with two years of experience in customer service, administration, or related fields; or a combination of education and relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in customer service.
  • Experience with cash handling.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, walk, bend, stoop, reach, and climb.
  • Capability to lift up to 35 pounds.
  • Willingness to work in various temperature conditions.
  • Availability for a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
