About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to join our team at United Safety and Survivability Corporation. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, providing top-notch service and support to our customers.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, installing, repairing, and maintaining our products on-site. As a key member of our team, you will be required to diagnose technical issues, provide training on our products, and drive part sales through effective communication and relationship-building.

Responsibilities
  • Provide outstanding service and support to customers during field visits.
  • Execute all on-site installation, repair, maintenance, and test tasks with precision and attention to detail.
  • Diagnose technical issues and provide solutions that meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Train customers on our products, ensuring they understand their features and benefits.
  • Promote part sales by offering expert advice and guidance.
  • Develop strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs and preferences.
  • Accurately document all field changes and processes to support future product modifications and warranty claims.
  • Establish service requirements, order components, and gather parts to complete service requests efficiently.
  • Produce detailed service reports and Sales Force ticket updates in a timely manner.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-3 years of experience as a technician or equivalent mechanical ability.
  • Automotive or transit experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints and using hand tools or other equipment.
  • Able to troubleshoot, test, repair, and service technical equipment with ease.
  • Able to lift 50lbs and stand for up to 12 hours per day.
  • Flexibility regarding working hours and travel, including weekends and overnight stays.
  • A valid driver's license and passport, with the ability to travel internationally.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to compose error-free copy.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with analytical thinking, planning, prioritizing, problem-solving, decision-making, and minimal supervision.
  • Proficiency in current computer software, including MS Applications (Word, Excel) and ERP systems.
