Faculty Position in Anesthesiology

The Department of Anesthesiology, Perioperative Medicine and Pain Management at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine is seeking exceptional candidates to join the faculty. Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care as a generalist anesthesiologist, performing a wide variety of cases, including orthopedics, GYN, community OB, abdominal cases, general vascular, and kidney transplants.
  • Supervise residents, CRNAs, and SRNAs, ensuring their growth and development in a supportive environment.
  • Participate in academic activities, including teaching, mentoring, and contributing to departmental conferences and faculty meetings.
  • Be available for call, with a manageable schedule of 3-4 overnight calls per month, and occasional evening and weekend calls.
Requirements
  • Completion of a US-approved residency in Anesthesiology or equivalent training and certification.
  • Board Eligibility or Certification in Anesthesiology, with the possibility of case-by-case determination of equivalence.
  • Research experience is highly desirable, but not required.
Compensation

Salary is dependent on years of experience and professorial rank at the time of hiring.
