Job Title: Clinical Director and Faculty

Albizu University is seeking a qualified candidate for the dual role of Clinic Director and Full-Time Faculty at the Goodman Psychological Services Center. The clinic serves as a training facility for doctoral students in the clinical psychology program.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and administration for the mental health training clinic.
  • Direct clinic operations in compliance with APA Standards of Accreditation for Health Service Psychology, Accreditation Operating Procedures, and the APA Code of Ethics.
  • Ensure the delivery of quality services through face-to-face and telehealth modalities while adhering to HIPAA rules and regulations.
  • Develop comprehensive therapy, evaluation, and treatment services.
  • Supervise clinical psychology students, overseeing their learning outcomes and case management.
  • Oversee the APA Internship program, including direct supervision of interns.
  • Collaborate with the master's programs in psychology and speech-language pathology for practicum student placements.
  • Hire, train, onboard, and evaluate clinical supervisors and staff.
  • Establish relationships with referral sources and conduct outreach to grow the client base and service contracts.
  • Manage the clinic's budget to ensure profitable operation.
  • Foster partnerships with local mental health agencies and other relevant organizations.
  • Work closely with the Director of Clinical Training and Practicum Coordinator for the Psy.D. program, as well as Clinic Directors at the San Juan Campus and Mayagüez University Center.
  • Submit all required internal and external reports in a timely manner.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Academic Program Director.
  • Serve as a core faculty member in the Psy.D. academic program.
  • Contribute to teaching, supervision, and academic mentorship of doctoral students.
  • Engage in scholarly activities and collaborate with colleagues on academic and research initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Licensed or licensure-eligible in the State of Florida.
  • Previous experience in a senior administrative role, preferably in a clinical or educational setting.
  • Experience working in the public, private, or nonprofit sectors.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Experience with clinic management and supervision of mental health services.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with academic and clinical staff.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets and clinic operations effectively.
