Position Overview:

Site Security Officer

Bowhead is seeking a dedicated Site Security Officer to join our team. This role is essential in providing comprehensive security support, encompassing various security domains such as special security, information security, personnel security, operations security, industrial security, physical security, communications security, and anti-terrorism/force protection. The Site Security Officer must demonstrate adaptability and responsiveness to evolving security challenges while adhering to established regulations and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to all Standard Operating Procedures diligently.
  • Ensure the protection of all client Government property and controlled items allocated for Contractor use, while securing all Government facilities, equipment, and materials throughout the work period. Aim for zero safeguarding errors resulting in security infractions.
  • Maintain accountability for all combinations and keys issued to Contractor personnel, ensuring they are not accessed by unauthorized individuals.
  • Oversee customer alarm systems during operational hours, with responsibilities transitioning to the installation outside of these hours. The Contractor must be equipped to assess and address alarm conditions, including security, fire, and active shooter alarms, and take necessary follow-up actions promptly.
  • Notify the customer Security Office within a specified timeframe regarding any incidents, following the customer’s Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Conduct perimeter security inspections as directed, reporting any security-related concerns around customer facilities to the customer Security Office, in accordance with established procedures.
  • Secure all Government facilities, equipment, and materials at the conclusion of each work period, following the customer’s security protocols.
  • Coordinate vehicle requests for Government, civilian, and military personnel, ensuring proper management of vehicle keys and trip logs.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree coupled with relevant experience is required. Consideration may be given to additional work experience in lieu of formal education for exceptionally qualified candidates.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is essential.
  • Exemplary written and verbal communication skills are necessary.
  • Strong attention to detail is crucial.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
  • Capable of clear and effective communication, both orally and in writing.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift weights ranging from 10 to 20 pounds.
  • Capacity to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to twist, bend, and squat periodically.

Security Clearance: An active security clearance at the Top Secret level is mandatory. US Citizenship is required for obtaining a Top Secret clearance.
