Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Public Health Nurse to join our team at the Boston Public Health Commission. As a Public Health Nurse, you will play a critical role in protecting, preserving, and promoting the health and well-being of Boston residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans for clients
  • Collaborate with nurse team leaders for supervision, consultation, and evaluation
  • Provide nursing care according to identified client and community needs
  • Work with clinical providers to deliver and coordinate care
  • Develop and implement health education and training programs for clients
  • Identify emerging problems and solutions for clients and their communities
Requirements
  • Must be licensed RN in Massachusetts; BSN preferred
  • Previous community health experience, including home visiting and knowledge of Boston communities
  • Maternal/child health experience
  • Demonstrated cultural competence working with diverse ethnicities, cultures, and socioeconomic groups
  • Good organizational skills and ability to work autonomously
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively
