Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiographer II to join our team at the University of Maryland Medical System. As a Radiographer II, you will be responsible for performing routine and specialized diagnostic radiologic procedures under general supervision.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Technical Expertise
  • Execute basic clinical competence in general radiology, including fluoroscopy, in all locations across all patient types.
  • Select accurate technical factors on an individual patient basis and demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient.
Knowledge and Skills
  • Apply knowledge of radiology principles and practices, including anatomy and physiology, radiation protection and physics, radiographic positioning, and patient care skills.
  • Adhere to Joint Commission, State, Federal, and departmental regulatory compliance standards.
Documentation and Safety
  • Document accurate patient care activity in various electronic health records systems.
  • Ensure a safe and appropriate work environment, maintaining supplies and inventory in the area.
Performance Improvement
  • Actively participate in departmental and organizational performance improvement initiatives and efforts to improve workflows, patient experience, and quality.
  • Participate in student and employee training and educational activities.
Qualifications
  • Associate Degree or Certificate in radiologic technology from a program accredited by an agency recognized by the US Department of Education or Council for Higher Education Accreditation.
  • 2+ years of experience in radiologic technology.
  • Registered with American Registry Radiologic Technology (ARRT) and Licensed Radiographer - State of MD.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification.
