We are seeking a skilled Radiographer II to join our team at the University of Maryland Medical System. As a Radiographer II, you will be responsible for performing routine and specialized diagnostic radiologic procedures under general supervision.
Key Responsibilities- Technical Expertise
- Execute basic clinical competence in general radiology, including fluoroscopy, in all locations across all patient types.
- Select accurate technical factors on an individual patient basis and demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient.
- Apply knowledge of radiology principles and practices, including anatomy and physiology, radiation protection and physics, radiographic positioning, and patient care skills.
- Adhere to Joint Commission, State, Federal, and departmental regulatory compliance standards.
- Document accurate patient care activity in various electronic health records systems.
- Ensure a safe and appropriate work environment, maintaining supplies and inventory in the area.
- Actively participate in departmental and organizational performance improvement initiatives and efforts to improve workflows, patient experience, and quality.
- Participate in student and employee training and educational activities.
- Associate Degree or Certificate in radiologic technology from a program accredited by an agency recognized by the US Department of Education or Council for Higher Education Accreditation.
- 2+ years of experience in radiologic technology.
- Registered with American Registry Radiologic Technology (ARRT) and Licensed Radiographer - State of MD.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification.
