Job Summary

St. Luke's University Health Network is seeking a skilled and compassionate Radiologic Technologist to join our team. As a vital member of our Diagnostic Imaging department, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional patient care and providing high-quality diagnostic services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures adhering to radiation protection principles, meeting local, state, and federal standards.
  • Properly identify patients and exams, ensuring accurate diagnostic services while evaluating technical quality.
  • Assist in gathering and recording data for Radiology Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement program.
  • Maintain responsibility for assigned area, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available.
  • Accurately adhere to downtime procedures, ensuring continuity of care for patients.
  • Participate in inservices and continuing education programs to maintain professional development.
  • Provide educational information to patients regarding their examination.
  • Meet department standards for annual peer review of films.
  • Verify correct patient selection from worklist, ensuring accuracy of Medical Record information prior to sending to PACS.
  • Contribute to achieving hospital-designated Press Ganey mean score.

Requirements

We are seeking a graduate from an ARRT recognized education program, or an ARRT registered or registry-eligible candidate. You must pass the registry within one year of hire date. Experience as a radiologic technologist is preferred, and ongoing training in department procedures is required. Current CPR certification is also necessary. A history of computer usage experience is expected.

Physical and Sensory Requirements

This role requires frequent use of fingers and hands to operate equipment, pull x-ray folders, and chart information. You will be walking or standing for up to 8 hours per shift, in 30-minute increments. Pulling, pushing, and lifting patients up to 300 pounds with assistance is also required. Additionally, you will frequently lift objects of up to 30 pounds, stoop, crouch, and bend. Hearing as it relates to normal conversation and seeing as it relates to normal vision are essential for this position.
