Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Surgical Technologist to join our team at OhioHealth. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures, maintaining a sterile environment, and providing exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare for surgical cases by obtaining and preparing necessary supplies, equipment, and instruments.
  • Establish and maintain a sterile field, presenting instruments to the operating team as needed.
  • Function as a second circulator under the supervision of a registered nurse, mixing medications on the sterile field after verification by a registered nurse.
  • Assist with patient skin prep, wound approximation, and other technical functions as needed.
  • Participate in unit operations to contribute to the efficiency of the department, effective communication, quality care, personal growth, and development.
Requirements
  • High School or GED (Required)
  • BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart Association
  • Graduate of an accredited surgical technologist school or equivalent military training, or 10+ years' experience as a Surgical Tech.
Work Environment

This is a night shift position with 36 scheduled weekly hours in the Surgery Main department at OhioHealth.
