Pumper Operator

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Pumper Operator to join our team at LANXESS Americas. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for loading and unloading bulk materials, completing relevant paperwork, and maintaining records using SAP.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure maximum productivity within the plant by efficiently loading and unloading bulk materials.
• Complete accurate and timely paperwork, conduct regular inspections, and maintain records in accordance with SAP protocols.
• Implement safe work practices, including permit procedures, personal protective equipment usage, and housekeeping, while reporting any unsafe acts or conditions promptly.
• Demonstrate initiative and utilize troubleshooting skills to resolve issues with minimal supervision.
• Assist and train other team members as needed, promoting a culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing.
• Participate in implementing team decisions and initiatives, contributing to a positive and productive work environment.
• Attend plant and departmental training and meetings as required, staying up-to-date on the latest procedures and protocols.
• Familiarize yourself with and implement incident response procedures, ensuring a safe and responsive work environment.

Requirements

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Three to five years of experience in a chemical or manufacturing environment, preferably with experience working with SAP, DCS, and Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to follow procedures and phases of operations, with a strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
