Job Title: Manometry LPNJob Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Manometry LPN to join our team at Ohio Gastroenterology Group Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing manometry testing and fibro scans, ensuring quality patient care throughout the patient experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform manometry procedures, including esophageal manometry, pH studies, and anorectal manometry.
  • Schedule and perform fibro scan tests for patients.
  • Test equipment prior to procedures to ensure proper functioning.
  • Complete disinfection procedures for manometry equipment after use.
  • Properly clean and disinfect/sterilize accessories used during procedures.
  • Call technical support for any issues with manometry/fibro scan equipment.
  • Ensure test results are reviewed by physicians in a timely manner.
  • Maintain equipment records and inventory levels.
  • Secure and restock rooms with supplies/accessories.
  • Assist with patient discharge as needed.
  • Protect confidential and/or privileged information according to office policy.
  • Adhere to infection control principles and apply universal precautions.
  • Work with EMR, including accessing electronic charts, documenting, and scanning.
  • Function as a liaison between patients/families, nursing staff, physicians, and other centers.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an approved School of Practical Nursing, with current license to practice as an L.P.N. in the state of Ohio.
  • Hospital or outpatient experience within the past 3-5 years required.
  • Special training and/or experience in fibro scan and/or manometry procedures preferred.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Effective communication and listening skills.
  • Ability to communicate with diversified levels of patients, staff members, and management.
  • Ability to organize work material, charts to ensure accuracy of patient records.
  • Ability to work independently, establish priorities, and proceed with objectives.
  • Knowledge of various computer programs, including internet experience. Electronic Medical Records experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of modern office procedures and methods, including telephone communication, office systems, and record keeping.
  • Ability to handle and resolve problems.
  • Maintain neat and professional demeanor.
  • Speaks fluent English.
Regulatory Requirements/Risks/Exposures:
  • Works with chemicals, including chlorine bleach, glutaraldehyde, and fomalin.
  • Physical demand requirements meet those defined as HEAVY work, exerting 50–100 pounds of force occasionally, 25–50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 1–20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
