Job Title: Professional Development Leader- Cardiac Medicine & Surgery

Mass General Brigham is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Professional Development Leader to join our team in Cardiac Medicine and Surgery. As a key member of our nursing leadership team, you will be responsible for designing, coordinating, and implementing programs for staff development, education, research, quality, and evidence-based practice.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement educational programs for nursing staff, including workshops, training sessions, and online courses.
  • Collaborate with Nurse Directors in Cardiac Medicine and Surgery to identify learning needs and develop targeted training programs.
  • Conduct needs assessments and evaluations to ensure that programs are meeting their intended goals.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to nursing staff to enhance their clinical skills and knowledge.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external partners and vendors to secure funding and resources for professional development initiatives.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in cardiac medicine and surgery, and apply this knowledge to inform program development and implementation.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Nursing or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in cardiac medicine and surgery, with a focus on professional development and education.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with nursing staff, physicians, and other stakeholders.
  • Experience with program development and implementation, including budgeting and evaluation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions.
