Senior Ecommerce Java Developer

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Ecommerce Java Developer to join our team at Emerald Resource Group. As a Senior Ecommerce Java Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the backend components of our ecommerce platform. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to build scalable, high-performance systems that enhance the overall shopping experience for our customers. Your key responsibilities will include designing and developing high-quality, maintainable, and efficient Java code for ecommerce backend systems, collaborating with architects and team leads to contribute to the overall design and architecture of our ecommerce platform, implementing and maintaining integrations with third-party services, payment gateways, and external APIs to optimize ecommerce, continuously monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing the performance of backend systems to ensure fast page load times and smooth user experiences, implementing and adhering to best practices for secure coding and ensuring the protection of customer data, working closely with frontend developers, UX/UI designers, and product managers to translate business requirements into technical solutions, participating in code reviews to maintain code quality and foster knowledge sharing within the development team, troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues related to ecommerce functionality, creating and maintaining technical documentation, including code documentation and system architecture diagrams, providing guidance and mentorship to junior developers and contributing to their professional growth. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, proven experience as a Java Developer with a focus on ecommerce projects, strong proficiency in Java development, including Spring Framework and related technologies, experience with ecommerce platforms such as Magento, Shopify, WooCommerce, or similar, knowledge of RESTful APIs and web services, familiarity with database technologies (SQL, NoSQL) and data modeling, strong problem-solving and debugging skills, and excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
