Speech-Language Pathologist Position in Irvington, NJ

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our school-based team in Irvington, NJ. The SLP will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating students with speech, language, and communication disorders to enhance their educational experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments to identify speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders in students.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address each student's unique needs.
  • Provide direct therapy services to students, both in individual and group settings.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support students' communication and academic goals.
  • Participate in IEP meetings, contributing to the creation and review of student goals and objectives.
  • Monitor and document student progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of assessments, therapy sessions, and progress reports.

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Valid SLP license or certification in New Jersey.
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred.
  • Experience in a school setting is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
