Occupational Therapist for Student Success

We are seeking an experienced and passionate professional to join our team at Soliant in Irvington, NY.

The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Occupational Therapy or a related field and valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist. Experience in a school setting is preferred, and strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential. The successful candidate will be able to work collaboratively with staff, students, and families to promote optimal student success.

Our Occupational Therapist will be responsible for delivering individualized and group therapy sessions tailored to meet the unique needs of our students. This will involve assessing students, developing personalized treatment plans, and collaborating with educators and parents to ensure that students receive the best possible support.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with students in middle school and high school settings. The specific responsibilities will include providing individual sessions, conducting group sessions, and delivering mandated monthly group sessions. The total number of sessions across both schools is estimated to be 25-27 sessions.

Responsibilities:

  • Middle School:
  • Provide 5 individual sessions (30 minutes each)
  • Conduct 7 mandated group sessions on a 6-day cycle (2-3 sessions)
  • Deliver 2 mandated monthly group sessions (30 minutes each)
  • High School:
  • Provide 12 individual sessions (30 minutes each on a 6-day cycle)
  • Conduct 1 mandated monthly individual session (30 minutes)
  • Deliver 7 mandated group sessions on a 6-day cycle (3-4 sessions)

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Occupational Therapy or related field
  • Valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist
  • Experience in a school setting is preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with staff, students, and families
