At Thresholds High School, we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to join our team. As a lead teacher in the classroom, you will have the opportunity to educate a class of up to 8 students with ongoing serious mental health needs. Our school provides a unique combination of flexibility and support to help students achieve their high school diploma and transition goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement lesson plans tailored to the students' individual needs and abilities
  • Supervise and instruct the class with the assistance of a teacher's aide
  • Monitor and grade student performance, supporting their academic achievement and preparation for their next steps
  • Document student progress and maintain accurate records
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Education or Special Education required; Master's degree preferred
  • Current Learning Behavior Specialist 1 (LBS1) license required
