Job Title: CT Technologist, Cat Scan

We are seeking a skilled and experienced CT Technologist to join our team at RWJBarnabas Health. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for performing complex imaging procedures using computed tomography (CT) scanners, power injectors, and related equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Position patients for CT scans using patient positioning devices and protective equipment as necessary
  • Perform exams accurately per established protocols, policy, and patient safety standards
  • Assist radiologists with imaging procedures, starting IV's, and injecting contrast, if applicable
  • Evaluate CT scans for technical quality, collate processed images in sequence of exposure, and appropriately label
  • Schedule patients for procedures; assist with clerical functions
  • Charge procedures and supplies in EHR
  • Dispense and order oral contrast to patients for CT scans
  • Maintain accurate patient records
  • Provide orientation and training to new CT technologists
  • Provide care for the psychological and physical needs of patients and their families for CT scans
  • Perform other related duties incidental to the work therein
Requirements:
  • High School or GED
  • Completion of an approved Radiology Technology program that meets the requirements set by the ARRT and the NJ State DEP
  • NJ State License in Radiography
  • Must be registered and certified in CT by ARRT
