Job Title:
Registered Nurse (RN) - Medicine Specialty

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team at OU Health University of Oklahoma Medical Center. As a RN in our Medicine Specialty department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and collaborating with our interdisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care, including assessing patient needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and evaluating patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions between departments.
  • Document patient information, including medical histories, test results, and treatment plans, in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, and monitor patient responses to interventions.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures to enhance patient care.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure informed decision-making and optimal patient outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Current RN license or multistate compact RN license.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a hospital setting, preferably in a medicine or nephrology specialty.
  • Basic Life Support certification issued by the American Heart Association.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing or higher degree.
  • Experience with electronic medical records and other healthcare software systems.
