About the Role

This exciting opportunity at JobsRUs is looking for an Occupational Health Nurse to lead health and wellness services at our plant, focusing on employee safety, injury prevention, and health promotion. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing cases, leading wellness initiatives, and ensuring compliance with health regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safety and Health Leadership: Promote a zero-injury culture and drive wellness initiatives to create a healthy work environment.
  • Case Management: Oversee care for work-related and non-work-related injuries, coordinating with providers, disability managers, and claims adjusters for effective treatment plans.
  • Health Programs: Conduct preplacement exams, health screenings, and fit-for-duty assessments, administering audiometric, vision, and pulmonary tests as needed.
  • Wellness Initiatives: Organize and track participation in health programs, supporting employees in using the fitness center and improving overall wellness.
Requirements
  • Education: A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree is preferred, but an Associate Degree or Diploma with 5 years of occupational health experience is also accepted.
  • Certifications and Training: RN License, CAOHC certification, NIOSH spirometry training, and eligibility for Certified Occupational Health Nurse exam are required.
  • Skills and Qualifications: Knowledge of OSHA regulations, case management, and wellness programs is essential.
