ROLE DESCRIPTION

As a member of our long-term care team, you will undertake the responsibilities of a Practical Nursing Specialist, which includes planning, executing, and assessing all assigned resident care in partnership with a Registered Nurse. Your role will be pivotal in upholding HIPAA standards while striving to enhance the quality of life for our residents through exemplary care.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time position (8 hours/day; 40 hours/week)
  • Shifts available include 2nd shift (3:00 PM - 11:30 PM) and 3rd shift (11:00 PM - 7:30 AM) with a 30-minute lunch break.
  • Rotating days and weekends are required, including working every other weekend.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

Essential Qualifications

Necessary Special Requirements:
  • Active authorization to practice as a Practical Nurse in Pennsylvania is required.
  • Employees with a temporary practice permit must obtain full licensure as a Practical Nurse within one year as stipulated by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.
Additional Requirements:
  • The residency requirement for Pennsylvania is currently waived for this position.
  • Applicants nearing completion of a licensed practical nursing program approved by the State Board of Nursing are eligible to apply. Proof of a current, valid PA temporary practice permit or PA Licensed Practical Nurse license must be provided upon appointment.
  • Ability to perform essential job functions is necessary.
Legal Requirements:
  • This position is subject to the Older Adult Protective Services Act, which mandates that a conditional offer of employment requires satisfactory criminal history reports, including PA State Police and FBI clearance.
  • A conditional offer may also necessitate successful completion of a medical examination and drug screening.
