Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and families? The Prevention and Diversion Department is excited to announce openings for our innovative program, Child and Parent Together Always (CAPTA).
The CAPTA initiative aims to deliver comprehensive services that enhance the stability and well-being of our most at-risk population: substance-exposed newborns.
Key Responsibilities:
- Focus on family engagement to decrease the incidence of substance-exposed newborns (SEN) and minimize removals while enhancing parent-child relationships.
- Conduct regular home visits in accordance with Safe Care model guidelines, ensuring compliance with expected visit completion rates.
- Promote effective parent-child interactions through educational activities that foster bonding and develop parenting skills.
- Provide families with essential referrals and connections to community resources.
- Collaborate with a network of community partners, including healthcare providers, treatment facilities, and child welfare agencies.
Qualifications:
A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED is required, with two years of direct experience in providing services to families and children. An Associate degree in a human services field is preferred.
