We are seeking a board-certified Trauma Surgeon to serve as Medical Director for our surgicalist program in Athens, Georgia. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate to build a surgical/clinical practice and engage with the medical team at Piedmont Athens and other physician leaders across the system.
About the RoleThe ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of experience and expertise in Trauma and Critical Care. They will be responsible for performing routine emergency general surgery procedures and acute care surgery, with a focus on minimally invasive techniques. The successful candidate will also have strong leadership skills and the ability to manage administrative duties effectively.
Work Schedule and BenefitsThe work schedule consists of a rotation of days/nights shifts on a monthly basis, with 7 days on and 7 days off. The team is comprised of six surgicalists, with additional APP support. The hospital offers a competitive salary, comprehensive benefits, and a range of professional development opportunities.
