About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Substance Abuse Counselor to join our team at the East Texas Treatment Facility in Henderson, Texas. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive substance abuse counseling services to individuals in need.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide substance abuse counseling and recovery skills training to offenders
  • Participate in offender orientation, educational, and individual and process counseling groups
  • Interview, screen, and evaluate offenders for potential program participation
  • Develop and implement individual treatment plans based on comprehensive assessments and reviews of collateral information
  • Maintain accurate offender records and compile data for reports and documentation
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited senior high school or equivalent
  • Two years of full-time experience in substance abuse treatment or education
  • Current valid license as a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) or certification as a Certified Criminal Justice Professional (CCJP)
  • CPR certification and a valid driver's license in the state of Texas
