Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Certified Registered Medical Assistant to join our School Based Health team at UNM Medical Group, Inc.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.

This is a full-time day shift opportunity located in Albuquerque, New Mexico, with a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct patient registration, verify demographics, and schedule appointments in a UNMMG Ambulatory Clinic.
  • Manage insurance processes, including verifying benefits, obtaining referrals, and handling prior authorizations.
  • Perform patient check-in/check-out, collect co-pays, and gather patient data and medical history.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or GED
  • A Medical Assistant Program Graduate Certificate
  • Current Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification
  • BLS certification
