Job Title: Principal Engineer DevOps

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Engineer DevOps to join our team at Northrop Grumman. As a key member of our DevSecOps team, you will be responsible for developing and deploying infrastructure as a service and a platform as a service capability. You will assist in managing multiple environments, software deployment, troubleshooting, and automation in a DevSecOps environment for a critical customer program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the DevSecOps team to develop and deploy infrastructure as a service and a platform as a service capability.
  • Manage multiple environments, software deployment, troubleshooting, and automation in a DevSecOps environment.
  • Support the development and deployment of custom software solutions integrating COTS, GOTS, and developed software.
  • Propose system administration process improvements to reduce maintenance requirements.
  • Determine system requirements, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility and system configuration maintenance.
  • Identify, analyze, and resolve program support deficiencies.
  • Develop and recommend corrective actions.
  • Provide technical guidance for database administrators and software developers.

Requirements:

  • 5 years with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or related field; 3 years with a Master of Science degree in Computer Science or related field; 9 years' experience in lieu of a degree.
  • DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA).
  • Experience with Linux or Windows System Administration.
  • Scripting skills in languages such as bash or PowerShell.
  • Experience with automation.
  • Effective communication skills with excellent writing and presentation skills using Microsoft PowerPoint and Visio drawing tools.
  • Ability to work independently and as an SME on large projects.
  • Experience with Ansible Automation Platform, including Ansible Tower.
  • Experience with HashiCorp Packer and Vault.
  • Experience with Gitlab CI/CD.
  • Experience with Nexus.
  • Experience in virtualization technology, including, but not limited to, VMware. Understanding of HP server configuration.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understanding of the software development life cycle.
  • Experience with Agile Methodology.

Additional Information:

The salary range for this position is $97,500 - $153,600. The application period for this job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date. However, this timeline may be shortened or extended depending on business needs and the availability of qualified candidates.
