Job Title: DevOps Engineer

Apex Systems is seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer to join our team. As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a critical role in supporting our team by developing, implementing, and managing our CI/CD Pipeline tools such as GitLab, Nexus, and Python.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, deploy, and maintain a CI/CD pipeline
  • Apply principles, theories, and concepts in the field to provide solutions to a wide range of difficult problems
  • Work under general direction, with results reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives
  • Represent the organization in providing solutions to difficult technical issues associated with specific projects
  • Execute data management utilizing existing program tools
  • Facilitate relevant meetings and review boards
  • Assist with release management when required
  • Create, maintain, and present KPIs and other metrics related to the CI/CD Pipeline and other configuration management areas
Requirements:
  • Government security clearance (DoD Secret – minimum, Top Secret - desired)
  • Experience as a DevOps Engineer
  • Establishing and following processes throughout project life cycles to maintain consistent configuration control
  • Experience with creating and maintaining a Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (Preferably Gitlab CI/CD) and GitLab concepts such as branching, merging, etc.
  • Experience with managing large data repositories of documents and folder structure
  • Experience with Ansible (Preferably Ansible Automation Platform)
  • Experience with Containerization Binary & Artifact Management (Preferably Nexus)
  • Experience utilizing tools such as Redhat Ansible, Powershell, bash, and Python to generate automated solutions
  • Experience with maintaining a Hardware Configuration Management Plan
  • Effective communication skills with excellent writing and presentation skills using Microsoft Office products
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working in Jira and Confluence
  • Knowledge of basic Network Engineering
  • Experience with GitLab and GitLab concepts such as branching, merging, etc.
  • Experience creating and updating processes and procedures
  • Developing KPIs and tracking other metrics and creating reports
  • Experience with containers, binary & artifact management and RHEL
  • Experience in a DoD environment
