Position Overview:
The Culinary Team Member is tasked with the preparation of meals to be served to patrons throughout the venue.

This role often involves direct interaction with guests, particularly in settings such as buffet lines where meats are sliced or dishes are prepared to order.

The Culinary Team Member is expected to maintain excellent attendance and be available to work events as required by business needs.

This position offers an hourly wage ranging from $11 to $14.

Benefits for part-time roles include a 401(k) savings plan along with 401(k) matching.

About the Venue:
The Flint River Entertainment Complex is owned by the City of Albany and operated by OVG360.

Situated in Albany, Georgia, this complex comprises three venues: the Albany Civic Center, Albany Municipal Auditorium, and Veterans Park Amphitheatre.

Flint River Entertainment Complex is dedicated to hosting live spectator events, banquets, meetings, trade shows, conferences, concerts, and more, all while striving to deliver quality entertainment to the southwest Georgia region.



Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, fresh food products promptly for guest service.
- Prepare both hot and cold dishes adhering to company recipes and portioning standards.
- Collaborate as a team player with specific duties related to food preparation, exceptional service, and product delivery.
- Report any maintenance needs for kitchen equipment.
- Uphold sanitation, health, and safety standards in all work areas.
- Observe and test food to ensure it is cooked properly.
- Portion, arrange, and garnish food plates for guest service.

- Consult with the Food & Beverage Manager, Sous Chef, or Kitchen Supervisor to plan menus and estimate anticipated food consumption.

Demonstrate a strong commitment to maintaining the company standard for excellent attendance.

Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a cook or prep cook.
- Proficient in operating standard kitchen equipment, including broilers, steamers, convection ovens, mixers, meat slicers, and chef knives.

- Ability to communicate effectively with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management, and guests in a clear, professional, and respectful manner, fostering a positive and cooperative work environment.

- Proficient in speaking, reading, and writing in English.
- Ability to thrive in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven atmosphere.
- Possess a valid food handling certificate if mandated by state and federal regulations.
- ServSafe certification preferred.
