Press Operator Role Overview:

As a **Press Operator** at Utah PaperBox, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of printing presses. Your expertise will contribute to the production of high-quality printed materials.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Interpret job tickets and guide the setup of the press according to specified instructions.
  • Make necessary adjustments to print quality, registration, and color settings to prepare for production.
  • Conduct thorough pre-run inspections and obtain supervisor approval before initiating the printing process.
  • Monitor offsetting and manage temperatures for various printed materials.
  • Observe machine operations to identify malfunctions and implement corrective measures as needed.
  • Follow detailed instructions accurately to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Oversee the pH and conductivity levels of fountain solutions and other press-related chemicals.
  • Complete all essential documentation, including job logs and running sequences.
  • Provide supervision and training to press feeders and assistant operators on multi-color printing processes.
