Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Combat Vehicle Mechanic to join our team at TransForce. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and performance of our Stryker combat vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct quality checks of vehicles in accordance with de-processing check sheets and joint technical inspection forms.
  • Perform maintenance on Stryker platforms and associated CBRNE equipment in accordance with the latest published technical manuals.
  • Assist soldiers with technical issues and provide guidance on vehicle operations and maintenance procedures.
  • Perform de-processing tasks, including vehicle familiarization, safe operations, and preventative maintenance checks and services.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the FSR or unit leadership.
  • Provide assistance to USG personnel as directed.
  • Actively promote a workplace free from environmental health and safety hazards, including training and proper use of personal protective equipment.
Requirements
  • 2-5 years of mechanic experience, preferably in maintenance of tactical or combat vehicles.
  • Documented commercial training or experience acceptable in lieu of military vehicle experience.
  • Able to work in confined spaces within vehicle interiors.
  • Work in improved and unimproved maintenance facilities, as well as field environments.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Must be able to foster and enhance teaming environments.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
  • Proven ability to perform multiple tasks within multiple workstations.
  • Demonstrated good housekeeping skills and ability to convey such practices to team members.
  • Ability to work extended hours in a fast-paced, challenging, high-pressure environment.
  • Must be able to gain and maintain access to military bases assigned to or where work is to be performed.
  • Must meet and maintain ASR guidelines for driver's station entry.
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs.
  • Ability to maintain a US passport, LOA, and international driver's permit.
  • Ability to be issued and maintain a Class B CDL, with preference given to candidates with current Class B CDL.
