Job Summary:

The Environmental Health and Safety Manager will be responsible for ensuring compliance with federal, canton, and local environmental, safety, medical surveillance, and sustainability laws, regulations, codes, rules, and consensus guides. This role will involve developing and implementing EHS programs, policies, and procedures, as well as managing communications, platforms, and databases related to EHS.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Compliance Management: Ensure EOHSS compliance with federal, canton, and local laws and regulations.
  • Program Development: Develop and implement EOHSS programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Communication Management: Manage EOHSS communications, platforms, and databases.
  • Reporting and Record-Keeping: Develop and maintain EOHSS reports and records.
  • Training Management: Manage EOHSS training process.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Handle EHS inquiries, build strong relationships with internal customers, and participate in EOHSS culture, operational teams, and committees.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or related field preferred.
  • Prior EHS Incident and/or Project Coordinator experience required.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with incident and/or learning systems databases preferred.
  • Prior experience related to EOHSS federal and canton regulations preferred.
  • Ability to take initiative, adapt to changing priorities, think creatively, critically, and strategically to solve complex problems.
  • Prioritizes work, analyzes complex problems, and solves them with excellent judgment, quality, and detail.
  • Demonstrated continuous improvement mindset, proactive approach to identifying issues, and developing innovative solutions.
  • Strong decision-making capability to guide assigned projects to successful conclusions.
  • Experience handling confidential information and sensitive issues in a diplomatic manner.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with a proclivity for partnership and collaboration with peers and management.

Salary Range:$90,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience.
