Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at The Christ Hospital Cardiovascular Associates. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will be responsible for performing a variety of technical duties involving the use of imaging equipment and the administration of radiopharmaceuticals for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients, ensuring accurate and safe handling of radioactive materials.
  • Perform radionuclide procedures on patients of varying ages, utilizing camera/computer systems and adhering to established protocols.
  • Maintain a radioactively safe environment, following guidelines and standards prescribed by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission and the State of Ohio Department of Health.
  • Perform equipment Quality Control and report problems to Clinical Engineering and the Supervisor.
  • Document patient information accurately and efficiently, utilizing EPIC and other relevant systems.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine school or enrolled in an accredited Medical Imaging Technology program with completed Nuclear Medicine coursework and clinical competency requirements.
  • Current licensure with the State of Ohio and certification with either the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Nuclear Medicine (ARRT-N) or the Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification Board (NMTCB).
  • Ability to safely compound and administer radiopharmaceuticals, perform intravenous injections, and operate gamma cameras, diagnostic computers, dose calibrators, and survey meters.
