Key Responsibilities- Safeguarding Patient Confidentiality: Safeguard and preserve the confidentiality of patients and protected health information in accordance with state and federal regulatory requirements, hospital and departmental policies.
- Ensuring a Safe Patient Environment: Ensure a safe patient environment and adherence to safety practices per policy.
- Cleaning and Maintenance: Cleaning assigned work areas with the correct chemicals and equipment, and maintaining the cleanliness and security of locked medication storage rooms as required.
- Reporting and Communication: Maintaining daily reports on project work or room cleaning, ensuring maintenance request forms are completed, and notifying Supervisor of problems.
- Equipment Maintenance: Demonstrating the ability to maintain all equipment in the assigned work area, assuring that it is in safe, clean, and proper working order.
- Knowledge and Performance: Demonstrating knowledge and performance of all skills required on the EVS Schedule.
- Communication Tools: Picking up communication tools/equipment by signing in and out at the beginning and ending of each shift, and reporting any damage to Supervisor.
- Education: High school graduate or GED preferred.
- Qualifications/Experience: Hospital environmental services experience highly preferred, six (6) months experience in a guest-centric fast-paced environment, customer service, hotel or hospitality experience preferred, basic housekeeping skills with the ability to operate a vacuum cleaner.
- Special Skills/Knowledge: Previous experience/training in auto scrubber, burnishes, and buffers, basic windows and mouse skills preferred.
