Surgical Technician Apprentice

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Surgical Technician Apprentice to join our team at Welia Health. As a Surgical Technician Apprentice, you will play a critical role in supporting our surgical services team and assisting with various surgical procedures.

• Assist with preparing and maintaining aseptic techniques in the operating room
• Provide necessary instruments, supplies, and equipment for surgical procedures
• Set up and arrange instruments and supplies in the operating room
• Anticipate and meet the needs of surgeons and other medical staff during procedures
• Monitor patient safety and well-being during surgical procedures
• Participate in the cleaning and sterilization of instruments and equipment
• Support the policies and procedures of Welia Health and the Joint Commission

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Enrolled in the apprenticeship program through the Minnesota Department of Labor and the STAT605 program
• Medical background preferred
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks
